Directions Report
February 27, 2009 - The Cities of Brampton and Mississauga have released the Hurontario/Main Street Study Directions Report. Based on input received through consultation with city staff, stakeholder groups and the public, this report defines the vision for the evolution of the Hurontario/Main Street corridor into a vibrant, sustainable and pedestrian oriented urban space, connected by a frequent, reliable and comfortable rapid transit service. This vision provides the groundwork for more detailed analysis of transit, land use and urban design alternatives to be completed in the next stage of the project.
Please keep checking the project website, www.hurontario-main.ca, for project updates, and look for the next round of public engagement opportunities coming up in June 2009.
